On 17 January 2025, ICMPD participated in the kick-off Conference ‘Pathways to Progress: Germany-Ukraine Dialogues on Rule of Law for EU Accession. The event brought together key stakeholders to explore Ukraine's advancement of the rule of law and fundamental values amidst martial law, with support from Germany and other European partners. Key discussions will focus on electoral democracy, judicial reform, and migration, while also identifying additional topics for future debates. Within the framework of the conference, ICMPD team held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of the National Unity of Ukraine, Mr. Oleksiy Chernyshov, on potential cooperation and joint efforts to support policy development, technical assistance and capacity building for Ukraine.
