On 2 April 2025, the CORE-UA project was invited to participate in the Integration Council of Düsseldorf at the Town Hall for their second session in 2025.
Project manager Roman Makukha and project office Magda Sabadello presented the planned opening of the Ukrainian Consultation Centre in Düsseldorf, as well as the activities and initiatives that have taken place within the framework of the RRR-MFA/SMS-UA and CORE-UA projects to support Ukrainian displaced persons in Germany through targeted consultations and information provision. The session also underscored the importance of representation and giving the Ukrainian community a voice in local decision-making forums. Feedback from the council members was encouraging and supportive. Within the framework of the visit to Düsseldorf, the project team also held meetings with the Migration and Integration Office, Ukrainian Consulate, Municipality representatives, and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
